Red Velvet Cherry Cake

Tonight's dessert with fresh coffee...Red Velvet Cherry Cake
I thought tonight we would go with a Pinterest inspired and easy cake.  The ingredients are in the pantry and this is a quick recipe start to finish.
Ingredients:  Red Velvet Cake Mix, 3 eggs, cherry pie filling and 1/4 cup oil.

Mix all ingredients together.

Pour into cake pan, cupcake liners.
I made a 8x8 cake and six cupcakes.
Bake @350 degrees 25-28 minutes until done.

Frost when cool.
Cream Cheese frosting was my choice.
Cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar mixed together.

  1. I love recipes with a few ingredients. I'm adding this to my list of recipes to try!

  2. I agree 100% with you Cathy! The fewer the ingredients the better some days : ) The cake taste even better the second day after completely cooling.

  3. I love red velvet cake and I love cherries so I will definitely try it out -- especially love easy! Just stopping by from the Say it Saturday Linky Party. Hope you get a chance to do the same!

  4. Looks delicious. I love cherries and "add-to-a-cake-mix" recipes. Thanks for linking this to Sew Many Ways.

  5. I adore Red Velvet cake and Cherry Pie is my favorite too so this would be a big hit for me! Thanks for linking with me :)
